Sotogrande Port

The reputation of Sotogrande and its appeal to so many nationalities lay initially in the natural beauty of the site. This was enhanced by the early landscaping, the planting of avenues of palm trees and the hiding underground of the infrastructure. Its final character however, was established by the creation of the most varied sporting facilities in Europe (sailing, polo, golf, tennis, etc.)
The Sotogrande Yachting Harbour is a pearl set in precious surroundings. Its stylish architecture and secluded passages and squares conceal intense commercial and leisure-related activity, with restaurants, coffee-bars and shops of all kinds. The large numbers of visitors who choose to make their home there are clear evidence that it is indeed a pleasant and enjoyable place in which to live.

The Yachting Harbour in Sotogrande is one of the most attractive, and most frequently visited, areas of the complex. A wide range of activities are organised and take place here during the winter months, including top-level sailing championships, attracting large numbers of enthusiasts. The sailing calendar also features various events in which yachts from all over the country take part.

Throughout the year, the wide selection of yachts at their moorings make an attractive backcloth for visitors to the harbour and are a natural source of delight and interest to those who enjoy all things nautical.

The Sotogrande – Martinico regatta is held from January 8th to February 8th, 2006. Regata Sotogrande-Martinica is a high class regatta that forms part of the official annual agenda of the Royal Spanish Sailing Society.
